Product Overview
The multifunctional electrolytic aluminum crane is a critical piece of process equipment for large-scale prebaked anode electrolytic aluminum production. It is specifically designed to withstand harsh operating conditions, including high temperatures, high electrical currents, strong magnetic fields, heavy dust, and HF-containing flue gases. This crane is capable of performing the following process operations on prebaked anode electrolytic cells:
1. Crust breaking – breaking the crust of the electrolyte.
2. Feeding – adding alumina, fluoride salts, and other electrolytes into the electrolytic cell.
3. Anode changing – loosening, lifting, and tightening the clamps; removing spent anodes; and installing new anodes.
4. Slag skimming – removing broken anode debris and crust fragments from the anode pit to prepare for placing a new anode.
5. Tapping aluminum – vacuum tapping, weighing (both single and cumulative), and displaying/printing the tapped aluminum weight.
6. Anode bus bar raising – lifting and positioning the anode bus bar raising frame.
7. Maintenance – assisting in the installation and repair of the upper structure and lower shell of the electrolytic cell, as well as performing other miscellaneous lifting tasks.


Crane Configuration
The crane consists of a traveling mechanism, bridge, tool trolley, tapping trolley, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical control system. The core component is the tool trolley, which integrates the trolley traveling mechanism, trolley frame, tool rotation mechanism, crust-breaking mechanism, anode-changing mechanism, slag-skimming mechanism, feeding mechanism, and cab rotation mechanism.
Control & Operation
The entire crane is controlled by variable-frequency drives combined with a PLC system. It offers two operation modes – cab control and remote control – which can be used either in coordination with each other or independently.
